Two Bees Cashmere was founded in 2003 by Whitney O'Brien after she failed to find the perfect cashmere sweater. What she wanted was simple: an affordable, lightweight, classic cable knit sweater in bright seasonal colors. Although she found similar sweaters, they were either too thick to wear in the summer, too fitted, or just too costly. She wondered why someone would want to swelter in a $400 sweater if they could buy an affordable and comfortable sweater to fit all of their lifestyle activities. To answer this question, Whitney turned to a major apparel company to manufacturer her private label. What started as a quest for the perfect sweater turned into the vision for her company: afforable, comfortable, and fashionable cashmere products for the modern lifestyle. Now, over five years later, Two Bees has built a reputation as a purveyor of chic, high quality cashmere sweaters at affordable prices. All of Two Bee’s products are made with 100% two ply cashmere from Inner Mongolia, a region renowned for its superior cashmere. The fibers that are used in our sweaters are 15 microns thick and free of inferior top coat hairs. Our production process uses state of the art Italian spinning machines and environmentally safe dye from Switzerland, resulting in a refined finished product.
